Final reflection
For the past term in digital design class we have been focusing on the unit of advertising. We started off by learning the different medias used in advertisments and their differences we also talked about the different targets and audiences for each advertisement,so to enter it in more depth we got into pairs and created a poster about the audience, targets and medias we then presented it to the class and discussed the function of the medias. After that we looked at the different methods that are used in advertisements we even watched different ads to look at what each method is but to be specific we only focused on 12 methods ,we then created a document about them ,in the document we gave various examples and we also explained each and every method such as:hype, claim, association, humor, fear, sense appeal and must have those are pony dome the examples that we learnt,we then posted them on our blogs.Later on we then wrote an essay that focused on the various factors and elements that affected the field of advertising. We had to research on the factors that are used in advertisements. We then learnt about the program DTP we learnt the different function that are used in DTP and we then completed a DTP worksheet that helped us improve our knowledge on DTP.Meanwhile when we finished we started our design situation and we answered some questions about our advertisement for the assessment.Later on we started our draft for our final flyer. The first thing we did in the draft was that we planned the contents of our flyer like the slogan, information, question and the creative features, after that we drew the draft of our flyer. Finally we started the last part of our assessment which was the final flyer where we used DTP it was quite challenging to follow my plan since I did some changes to my computer copy one,at the end to conclude our unit we posted our final flyers and wrote reflections about our work on the planning and final flyer. In conclusion I think I really liked this unit and enjoyed creating a flyer,I also think that it was very effective and educational to me.
