How to make a CD cover and lesson reflection

Today in ICT  we made CD covers.

Here are the steps of how to make one:

• First, open Microsoft Publisher
• You will then find templates. Choose the labels one
• Next you scroll down till you find the Media one then choose it
• After that, you will press insert and then shapes 
• You will then press on the circle and you will adjust it according to the correct size of the inner and the outer circle of the cd cover (the size will already be there you will only need to adjust the circle)
• After that you will go on the internet and you will select any picture you want
• Mean while you will save it with your documents
• Then you will press format and press shape fill
• Later you will find an option called picture you will press there and it will get you all the documents
•  Eventually you will find your picture in your documents and press on it so it will then appear on your CD cover
• Next  you will press format and then send backward so that the inner circle will appear
• You will then use the snipping tool to save it as a picture and post it into your blog 
• Finally you will then print it and stick it to your CD

Reflection:

Today we made CD covers. Personally I think that helped my digital design skills in publisher and gave me a chance to practice the usage of publisher. On my CD cover I put two different pictures. One of them was a tribal patterned one and the second one was a collage of cute food drawings. I personally really like collages because its a lot of pictures into one which I really admire and is one of my favourite art skill.My second picture was a blue tribal pattern. The reason I chose that was because tribal patterns are another one of my favorite art skills. Another reason is I really adore the different shades and degrees of blue.Last but not least i learnt how to use the snipping tool.

What we covered in Digital Design Class


Hi! My name is Monica. I am  eleven years old  and am in year 7DD. I am very eager to learn new  things  and improve my knowledge. I am also looking forward to  mastering Term 1 and getting high grades. My target in life is to grow up to be an Orthodontist or a Doctor.For the past four weeks, we have been having Digital Design lessons.Since I started my knowledge has grown and improved a lot.I have learnt a lot of various topics ever since we started.I have learnt about the different shortcuts that are used in Microsoft word and have also learnt how to apply all the learner profiles in my work during my ICT lessons. In addition, we learnt all the different parts of a computer. Next, I learnt the functions and names of different devices.We also learnt about what a mother chip is and its function while understanding how to create a blog and how to use it. Next, we learnt about file management where we learnt the benefits of it and where and how to use them.We then discussed the differences between my area and a shared area .We also drew a diagram for our folder set up and then discussed the function of the printer and the projector.We also completed a sheet about the school network and the devices we use in the Digital Design lab. Last but not least, each of us made a word document with rules to follow in the lab.
